West Elloe Bridge

The original lifting West Elloe Bridge was opened in 1925 almost 100 years ago, I doupt if there is anyone still alive today that will remember the Welland river before then, the small boats in the foreground are at the bottom on Pannell’s boatbuilders slipway that was not able to continue in use to haul up large boats after the bridge was built but he continued to build small boats for some years after.
