The War memorial plaque for Moulton Grammar School on display in All Saints Church records that 23 oaks were planted to commemorate those who made the supreme sacrifice. Does anyone know where they were and if they still exist as a group?
I am writing a book celebrating the Centenary of the Spalding rugby Club . founded in 1923
The club was given permission in 1952 to erect a clubhouse and play matches on the Memorial field of the Spalding Grammar school by the Governors of the school. I was told that the Memorial field was named after those boys who gave their lives in WW2 from Spalding and Moulton Grammar schools and trees were planted on that field to commemorate their sacrifice.

PS not sure if the trees are still there, I will check. Also did Moulton Grammar school play rugby and if so when did they start ?
