WW1 Tank presented to Spalding

This photo shows the mark IV pattern tank ( no.2647 ) making its way by the Station gates inn. It was received at the Session House grounds in Spalding on the 12th August 1919. It was presented to Spalding by the National War Savings Committee as an acknowledgement for the towns efforts in providing investments in national war bonds and war savings for World War One.
