Town gathering for a VE Day Service. Spalding residents gathered for an open air service for VE Day.
The picture shows a service taking place for VE Day, on May 8th 1945, thought to be taken by the Rev Scott Thorburn. The picture was submitted by Marian Boxhall whose mum Olive Lightfoot and sister May can be seen near the from of the crowd. Does anybody remember anything more about the event? Or even its location.
