This photo shows the unveiling of Tulipan the Tulipman at Springfields, Spalding in 1972. This was done by the Turkish Ambassador, His Excellency Zeki Kuneratip, to commemorate the 400th anniversary of the introduction of the tulip bulb from Turkey to Europe.
The Statue is now outside the Bulb Museum at Birchgrove Garden Centre. Pinchbeck.
