The Chapel opened on the 8 Oct 1871 (seating 350) The interior was modernised in 1954-55 and now includes 3 memorial windows commemorating the Jepson, Wilson and Woodham families which were removed from The Crescent United Methodist chapel on its closure following the merger of the two Societies in 1955.
