The Eight Ringers Inn was in Barrington Gate, Holbeach. In 1911 the Publican was a J.Franks. Â I believe this building is where Nick’s Plaice chip shop now stands.
There seems to be little information on this Inn to be found on the internet. If you have any information to add, please leave a comment.

I am currently researching my father’s family history and discovered that in 1871;
Ten years later, in the 1871 census it was discovered that the family had moved yet again and they were then living in Holbeach in the second house on Barrington Gate two doors away from the Eight Ringers Beer house, which was run by 79 years old Samuel Dixson and his 54 years old wife Jane. Charles was running an Ironmongery and Stamp Distributor shop.
By that time Charles Waite was 44 and his wife Elizabeth was 41. There were then seven children with the two youngest, Gertrude 5 and Edith 3, both having been born in Holbeach.
Thanks great content. Regards Geoff
