I believe the stagecoach used to make an annual journey from The George in Stamford then on to the Black Swan in Spalding then Sutton Bridge and then on to Kings Lynn. This continued until the stables behind the Black Swan were removed in the 1950’s. Does anybody no more about this annual trip? Where did it start?
