Hi, I have Keith’s book , it’s fabulous.. I would like to see the authority paperwork for John and William Royce.. You know my Gt.Gt. Granfather Captain Thomas Royce, along with other Captains there, started the Ship Wreck Society in circa 1844, he was 31 years old..
I’m really puzzled why I can’t find any photo’s etc, of my Grandad , he was a very well known sea Captain, and pub landlord. and quite a good artist, ( I’ve been told ).
Well I’ll keep searching.. Kindest regards J.R.
Let’s hope someone can help
Geoff
Front row far right – Archibald Brown (known as Jerry) 1885 to 1950 who was a merchant seaman during WW1 and next to him is his brother Thomas Harry Brown (known as Diddy) 1888 to 1966. He joined the Royal Navy aged 16 and stayed in until his retirement by which time he was a petty officer.
Thanks Anymore? Regards Geoff
