My mother lived at Sidings Road Quadring as a child from 1929-1947. I understand there were only three houses there, all tied cottages belonging to the Caswells. Does anyone have any further information?
My Grand parents,Mr & Mrs H. Pickering, lived at the gatehouse the other end of the sidings.Granddad was a signalman until he retired. My Mum Olive Mary Pickering got married from there and became Mrs C.E.Carter. From 1952 Mum & Dad kept the “Black Bull ” and “White Hart ” public houses in the village.
