How’s this for a fantastic photo.
Taken outside the old New Bell Inn, London Road, Spalding in 1957 it shows a Steward & Patteson horse and cart. On the rear of the cart are the words, ‘S&P productions present ‘Top Of The Bill’. ‘Two Great Stars’… ‘Sweet Honey Ale and Mighty Midget Stout’ From- Steward & Patteson Ltd, Pockthorpe Brewery, Norwich.
The old New Bell Inn stood on the corner of London Road and Vine Street. It is now Bulley Davey accountants.
