Friends of Spalding Cemetery have a record of Mary Elizabeth Mower born 1812 and being interred 27 September 1889, aged 77. She was the housekeeper at Goodfellows School, Spalding Common. Her daughter Mary Elizabeth Mower was head teacher at Goodfellows School until her mother’s death. They lived on the school premises. Mary remained a spinster and moved to 53 Alma Terrace, Hastings in retirement dying aged 85 in 1933
