Are you sure it closed in 1970? my Grandparents ran this pub when I was a little boy and I would do a kareoke turn on a Sunday night to such tunes as under the moon of love by Shawaddywaddy and some music by the the Darts so has to be later. I would say it’s late 70’s.
I was 4 in 1970
I lived here as a child as my mum was the land lady we moved to Nottingham in 1979, up until then it was very much open , my gran rose Gibson was the previous landlady she then moved across the road opersite into a bungalow

From research I’ve been doing into my family they had a darts team 1930’s which one of my great uncles played for. Namely E A Chilvers.
Thanks regards Geoff
