I visited Ayscoughfee Hall last Wednesday, wish I had known you had photos there. I talked to lady on the desk about Spalding halfpenny and that my yew tree had been cut down (we sheltered under it to do our homework while waiting for the bus home). The photo called man seated at Surfleet seas end signal box, is my grandfather. Seas End should not be in the title it had rather a nice sign saying SURFLEET, and he is Gerard Ofield STUBBS, born in Rutland, His son Herbert Henry who was born in the signal box house, died on January 5th and was cremated yesterday (29th). I do have other photos of him. Please alter the web site. Thanks very much.
Thanks I will amend. Love to see other photos
Regards
Geoff
