Walking along Crackpool Lane today just past Moore Thompson and I found this fantastic doorway. So who knows about it? What’s behind the door? Who own’s it so i can take some pictures inside?

Keith John Seaton – When I was the errand boy for Hill & Co in Hall Place in the 1950’s this was a lock up store where the shop delivery bike and empty cardboard boxes were kept. Hill & Co later moved to their new store in the old Greyhound Pub building. It was a very small area inside. The door in the wall in Cowbit Road to Westbourne House garden may be older. See page 33 in my book Spalding & Around Through Time.

Hi, I’ve also seen the door. It looks somewhat unhappy – leading into a derelict looking brick building, which is totally overgrown with ivy, so I don’t suppose there is much going on inside!
so – where is this door now?
I will go and investigate – regards Geoff
