This photo, Taken on Vernatts Drain somewhere between Pode Hole and Surfleet Seas End shows some improvement works taking place on the Drain. Dated 1942.
Can anyone help pinpoint the exact area in which this work was taking place ?

Yes, this the view from Sharpe’s bridge looking towards the railway bridge. The dredger stands on the bank where the hospital now is.
