The Garden of Stukeley Hall Holbeach 1932

The grounds of the Hall have evolved over a period of time and it is estimated that some of the oak trees could be 200 years old. It is thought that the walled garden is of 18th century origin. Much of the gardened area to the east of the Hall and fringing the walls to the north are relatively new.

Looking at the very attractive gardens within Stukeley Hall in this photo, it makes me wonder just how many more fabulous gardens and grounds are hidden away within South Holland. What hidden gems have you come across ?
