Fleet Church and Rectory

A photo showing Fleet Church and the Rectory.  Photo dated 1918.

This Anglican parish church is dedicated to St Mary Magdalen. The church is an ancient structure (prior to 1245). There is an old tower, separated from the church by several yards. Most of the church was rebuilt during 1860-62, and the interior of the church was restored again in 1911. The Rectory was built in red brick and designed by Benjamin Ferrey.

  1. Its a beautiful church, as are most around here. Its a real treasure to share the memories of those who built and worshipped here and those who died since. A very, very powerful presence for sure. Just sit a while in any church you pass and in the silence let God come to us.

The services are lovely too, and they still even have an organist which makes the hymns special. I was last here around 2020. Peace N Love to all.
