  1. Donington Road station would be difficult to reopen because of the road haulage company ensconced on the site but, it would be superb if they were coerced into redeveloping the site as a container road/rail transfer site – I cannot think of another container transfer facility in that vicinity. A better site for a new Donington station would be about one mile south of the previous location with Maltings Lane and Haws Lane giving good access to a new station. 2. vippaulc@yahoo.com Mr & mrs Cunningham 28 Hartfil street Donington Spalding Lincolnshire We agree we desperately need regular passenger trains plus railway station for two main reasons (1) we are rather cut off (2) travel on the A52 has become very over occupied by very heavy traffic making it dangerous as are many routes in and around Lincolnshire.Traffic passing through the village/town is ridiculously dangerous so many more buses will also help to cut down the need for cars ,putting stores like Lidl ,Tesco , Sainsbury’s , Aldi, Morrisons ,any of these stores would help in many ways Donington has really already grown and growing fast .Plenty of land to use so let’s get on with it
