The Cuckoo Inn was a Soames Brewery pub that was sold to Steward and Patteson in 1949. It closed on the 23rd September 1953.

This information is not correct as my mother and farther where the last landlords of the pub and I was about 3years old when we moved out of the pub that makes it 1963 /64 when it closed
