  1. Open as `The Cinema` on Tuesday 31th March 1931 by its owners East Anglia Entertainments of Kings Lynn, with seating for some 475 people with double seats across the back row. In 1937 it was taken by Mr Albert Groves. Closed on Saturday 14th May 1965 its proprietor at the time being a Mr Sands, later converted into the Barn Restaurant which was destroyed by fire in the 1970`s. Houses now occupies the site.
