  1. Carter’s Park brings back many happy memories growing up in Holbeach. I’ve not been back since leaving school and moving from the area. I need to make an effort and return.

  2. Nice park in my childhood days before they put that stupid fence around the football ground instead of the the Summer running race events of the 60’s. Entered the August Horticultural Show with my neighbour Arthur Stamp now living in Stuckley Road and recall the childrens hoop stall to win prizes plus buying ice creams from Mrs Fletchers sweet shop in Park Road. The childens area is still nice for a Summer picnic but not as quiet with the large shop and car park next door. Pity we lost the ice cream factory in Church Street, can still see Eric selling his products on the van in Carters Park plus down East Elloe Avenue on a Sunday morning. Still visit the park to chat with local people each time I come over from my home in King’s Lynn.
