Banisters Garage

This photo shows Banister’s garage which once stood on the Main Road, Deeping St Nicholas.

The building is still there today, next to the Church. The wall in frontĀ  of the living house (building to the left) is angled, this was to enable easy access to vehicle’s heading in and out from the petrol pumps.

As a child I have fond memories of walking up to the garage and into their small shop and pay area. It was like a tuck shop as we called it.

Full credit goes to Diane Banister for donating this photo.
