Can’t remember the advert but remember selling the Dee-Hill shirts as i was working in the mens wear dept @ that time.
Hi Dave,
Would you write about your memories of working at Berrils please. We would publish it on our website.
Regards
Geoff Taylor
I used to work in the office but cannot remember the advert, maybe it was before I worked there.
Hi Daphne
I don’t know how to help. Would you do an oral history about working about at Berrills. It would be nice to have a record of this?
Regards
Geoff Taylor
PS: Do you know anything about a storage tunnel in the basement of Berrill’s?
Yes, there was a tunnel that went from the boiler/storage room in the store on the riverside, it was supposed to have gone to the Parish Church but no one ventured that far. Not even Mr Greenfield.

Can you tell me more. How big was it in in diamond, which direction did it go under the river or back into town?
Regards
Geoff
