To complement Keith Seatons pictures of the Odeon. Group photograph taken at the opening of the /odeon Cinema on the 28th Feb. 1938 Coun. J H Longstaff (seated) who was Chairman of the Spalding U D C, performed the ceremony, with Mrs Longstaff on the right. I wonder what film they watched or who the other dignitaries were?

The Odeon opened in February 1938, was twined in 1970, closed as the Gemini Twin on 5th July 1983 and demolished in 1987, now flats built on the site.
