A group photo taken outside the old Wesleyan Chapel in Knight Street, Pinchbeck. Exact year unknown.
From research I have found the following information.-
The chapel, seating 110, was built in 1847 as a Wesleyan (replacing an earlier chapel) and taken over by Reformers in the 1850s, eventually joining the United Methodist Free Churches. A separate Sunday school building catered for large numbers in its heyday.
Dwindling numbers led to its closure in 1967. Members refused to allow its sale as they “would sooner have their chapel demolished than used for anything other than public worship”. It was demolished in 1969!
