Alabama Forge Council are a non-profit organization that promotes the
knowledge of Blacksmithing skills and works to promote the continued re-discovery of the art of Blacksmithing.
What They Do
They are a dynamic group of over 400 professional, amateur and
beginning smiths. The AFC is comprised of 10 separate Forge
groups with monthly meetings and two annual conferences.
They offer scholarships, maintain a library of videotapes and our
newsletter, The Bituminous Bits, it is one of the best sources of
blacksmithing information you can find.
Let’s hope we can emulate their success.
