The old Golden Ball in Little London is due to reopen on the 7th Dec and now called “The Waters Edge”

  1. I remember the Golden Ball as the headquarters of many big Welland fishing matches in the 1970s. In fact, I organised two 400-entry British Pike Championships on behalf of Angling Times in the era. I wish I could remember the landlady’s name, because she was quite a character. Her early-morning bacon sandwiches were a real lifesaver!
