Comment – We had a tap in the front garden used at to thor it out in the winter before you could make a cup of tea the prisoner of war dug the roads up to put all the main sewage in the forties
When my family moved to Chapel St in the middle 50s to my great Aunt polly Fosters house….water was drawn from a well near the back door!!….
