Contract of Employment in 1890

Plus a life with No running water, outside privy, no heating apart from a coal fire and not in every room, no unemplyment benefits when crops failed or land owner laid you off for no reason. High infant mortality and death during child birth not uncommon, you could die from a chill and no NHS. Working day sunrise to sunset, holiday possibly a few days with relatives. Idyllic only in a Constable painting.
