Bath Lane has always fascinated me. Geoff Dodd told me he had been taken to the bath in Bath Lane but he had never found anyone else who could confirm his memory. I believe it was a medicinal bath where the person was bathed in the waters a bit like a baptism. I have recently found this photograph of the road but can anyone else tell us more about the baths,

Hi Geoff Dodd the Blacksmith at the Forge always told me about the bath. I am not sure if he ever visited it. His memory was that people were baptised in the baths. He couldn’t find anyone who could verify his memory.
Any thoughts?
