This photo, Taken on Vernatts Drain somewhere between Pode Hole and Surfleet Seas End shows some improvement works taking place on the Drain. Â Dated 1942.
Can anyone help pinpoint the exact area in which this work was taking place ?

Yes, this the view from Sharpe’s bridge looking towards the railway bridge. The dredger stands on the bank where the hospital now is.
