It’s fascinating looking back at Parades Past, and as always it’s interesting to see how times have changed, but the Spalding Flower Parade goes on, just look at the shops.

Black and white photography was still widely in use until the mid to late seventies, but it has the feel of an earlier time.
One thing that is striking is that there are no safety barriers, something unthinkable today.
