My grandmother Alice Gertrude Dubber nee Barton was born in Donington in 1894 and she lived in Malting Lane. Her father George Barton was a fruit grower. Her mother was Alice Ann Barton nee Millson. Her father was Charles Millson and his father Enoch Millson . My grand mother was a teacher who taught at the Cowley Schools before moving to Oxford. Her mother went to Donington Grammar School. We have visited Donington on numerous occasions as my in-laws moved to Spalding in the 1980’s. I have many photos from Donington which form part of my family tree on Ancestry.
