You can now help Chain Bridge Forge continue its important work by making a financial donation every time you shop online.
The Forge has signed up to the Give As You Live scheme, which is a free and easy way of raising money for your chosen good cause when you shop at scores of big name stores online.
More than 4,200 stores are involved in the scheme, including big names such as Sainsbury, Tesco, M&S, Amazon, eBay, John Lewis and Next.
It’s easy to join – sign up by clicking on the button on our Donate to Chain Bridge Forge page. This will take you directly to a form to fill in to choose Chain Bridge Forge as your chosen charity to support.
Once you have signed up, you can browse the Give As You Live website for the store you wish to shop with, or download an app to your browser which invites you to make a donation every time you visit a participating store online.
When you make a purchase at one of these stores, they pay Give As You Live a commission based on a percentage of how much you have spent, 50 per cent of which is passed to the charity.
And it’s amazing how quickly the donations add up, making a huge difference to what Chain Bridge Forge is able to achieve.
The Friends of Chain Bridge Forge rely on donations to enable us to keep the Forge free to enter and enable us to continue with our themes of Blacksmithing, Local History, Innovation and outreach.
All the money we receive from donations help us to maintain these themes and is spent on maintaining the Forge, providing insurance for the Forge activities, and maintaining South Holland largest website and online local history collection.
